Our commitment to an ever better stay: renovations that enhance comfort, hospitality, and efficiency.
In 2025, the Saturnia & International hotel invested in major renovations aimed at offering more comfortable environments and more efficient services, while maintaining the historical features that distinguish the charm and history of our 4-star superior hotel, just a few steps from St. Mark's Square.
The lift, lobby and air conditioning are the areas where most resources have been allocated, along with the usual refurbishment of some rooms.
Modern Comfort and New Services in 2025
The Saturnia & International is one of Venice’s historic hotels, opened back in 1908 and still managed today by the same family. A style of hospitality passed down through five generations, continuously evolving to offer a refined stay where modern comfort, Venetian tradition, and guest care meet in harmony — just 250 meters from St. Mark’s Square, along one of the city’s most exclusive shopping streets, in the heart of Venice’s historic center.
In 2025, we completed a series of structural and renovation works that further strengthen our ongoing commitment to quality, efficiency, and authentic hospitality.
Fully Replaced Elevator
We have completed the full replacement of one of the three elevators in our property. The new lift now provides access to those few rooms that previously could not be reached directly. A major improvement that enhances comfort for all guests, thanks to a modern, efficient system, now also featuring an informative display screen.
A More Welcoming and Futuristic Lobby
The hotel lobby has been expanded by repurposing a former retail area. This new space now features more than ten comfortable seats, offering guests a pleasant place to relax while waiting. Bright and tranquil, it opens directly onto Calle Larga XXII Marzo and is enriched by original works by renowned Italian Futurist Fortunato Depero. The room is also used by our Il Caravellino Bar during peak service hours.
More Efficient and Quieter Air Conditioning
Also in 2025, we invested in the complete renewal of our air conditioning units. The new system ensures:
- Greater energy efficiency with lower environmental impact;
- More powerful cooling, even during the hottest months;
- Significantly reduced noise levels — especially noticeable on our panoramic terrace.
A stay in Venice between history and innovation
Set within a 14th-century Venetian palace, our hotel continues to invest every year to offer a superior hospitality experience. During the low season, 7 to 8 rooms are renovated to further enhance the quality of our accommodations.
Each intervention is designed to preserve the building’s original charm, while integrating modern solutions and thoughtful services tailored to the needs of today’s traveler.
