Exhibition Peggy Guggenheim Collection - Germane Richier
Some sixty works on view at the halls and gardens of the prestigious modern art museum are part of the largest show in Venice since 1966 dedicated to the famous French sculptress, considered a leading figure in the postwar art avant-garde. The show, assembled around the artist’s work Tauromachia which was acquired in 1960 by Peggy Guggenheim and is on permanet display in the museum garden, has been produced in collaboration with the Guiter Archives of Paris.
The Exhibition, with bronze sculptures, small plaster casts, lithographs and drawings, was curated by L.M. Barbero.
