The Correr Museum is located in St. Mark's square and is part of the Venetian Civic Museums Foundation; it can be accessed on the side of the buildings surrounding St. Mark's square, called Napoleonic Wing.
This is the largest civic museum of the city: it comprises an art gallery with painted masterpieces from the fourteenth to the sixteenth century, a neoclassical section dedicated to Antonio Canova and a historical and documentary section relating to the institutions, urban affairs and city's daily life.
The museum often hosts temporary exhibitions. You can take advantage of a ticket that will give you access to most important museums and will allow you to book your visit online.
