One of the most heartfelt celebrations for Venetians is the Feast of the Redeemer, which celebrates the end of the Plague, a terrible disease that struck the city between 1575-1577. As every year, the feast falls on the third Sunday in July.
For Venetians, the Redentore begins as early as Saturday evening with a traditional dinner, likely to take place in the most picturesque corners of the city, and then head to St. Mark's Basin, where at 11:30 p.m., there is the start of the fireworks display, which always leave everyone breathless.
The Feast of the Redeemer in Venice is also an excellent opportunity to try the local specialties and delicacies, which every citizen promptly delights in preparing.
La Caravella Restaurant is waiting for you to celebrate Redeemer 2023 in Venice together. For the Redeemer 2023 dinner we offer two options, the first at 7 pm and the second at 9:15 pm, and you can choose dishes from our seasonal menu, meticulously prepared by the Chef and his brigade.
