The show puts on display engravings from the rich treasures that make up the Correr Museum’s collection of prints and drawings by one of the prime Venetian vedutisti (cityscape painters) and paesaggisti (landscape painters) of the Settecento. Specifically, the offers a collection of copperplate views of the most celebrated sites in the city which were exhibited for the first time in 1741.
The show, on view as part of the ordinary museum display, offers an opportunity to compare and examine the artist’s works with those of such contemporary artists as Diziani, Fontebasso and Antonio Guardi.
Museum and show are open 10 am – 5 pm (10am – 6 pm from 1st of April)
