we left you last time with our grand-mother and great grand-mother, who bought the first 8 rooms, which became the heart of the present Hotel Saturnia & International and here we are again to continue our story.                                                                
Mrs Zoe, her husband Ugo and their son Renzo, they all together devoted their life to better day by day and grow bigger up to the present 90 rooms. Among the results of their efforts, a special mention must be directed to Restaurant La Caravella, as the realization of Renzo’s dream. In 1963 La Caravella took the place of the Ciro’s Bar, where among the regular customers, one could also see Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir. From its beginning La Caravella goes on being one of the best restaurants in Venice.

The grand-mother Zoe outlived both her husband and her son and  she went on working every day of her life up to more than 90 years old. In the meantime, the 3^rd generation with Renzo’s sons - Alberto and Ugo – began by taking up the management little by little……
