Galleria Franchetti -Ca' d'Oro Venise

Construite au cours de la première moitié du XVe siècle par Marino Contarini, la Ca 'd'Oro (Maison d' or), est un véritable symbole de Venise avec son architecture typique de style tardo-gothique et ses loges ouvertes sur le Grand Canal.

 

Le baron Giorgio Franchetti, qui l'a achetée, puis restaurée à la fin du XIXe siècle, a fait don du Palais et de ses collections d'art à l'Etat en 1915. Œuvres exposées : peintures de Giovanni Bellini, Carpaccio, « San Sebastiano » del Mantegna, tableaux du Titien, de Giorgione, du Tintoret, de Guardi, de van Eyck et d'autres artistes flamands et allemands, céramiques vénitiennes de siècles différents, marbres de la Renaissance, collection de bronzes, de médailles rares, fresques, statues et fragments grecs et romains. Remarquable tête de puits de B. Bon, avec les allégories de la vertu.
