53rd Biennale of Venice - International Art Exhibition

53rd edition of the numbero one contemporary art event in Italy. The show, centering on a theme conceived by its director, Daniel Birnbaum, combines two exhibiton spaces - that of the Biennale's re-designed Palazzo delle esposizioni, at the Gardens, with that of the Arsenale - assembling 90 artists from around the world with new works crated in all art forms: paintings, sculptures and drawings to the more contemporary installations, performance art, viedo and films.

The exhibition includes als onational shows in the historic Garden Pavillions, numerous other national and associated exhibitis displayed elsewhere in the city.

All in all, this year's shows boasts a record number of 77 national exhibitions and 38 associated events.
